Founded in 2004 (May) with Research and Entrepreneurship aims as leading specialist company in software and firmware of smart cards and embedded systems sector. Precedence of the first Iranian card operating system development and its applications in the founder's background made KASRA's technology foundation in its start time.

In October 2004 fund of KASRA's first entrepreneurship projects named "software security system based on smart card" was approved by Iran Karafarin Co. (one of subsidiaries of IDRO). Since, KASRA was Borned in the rest of IT market in Iran.

In the beginning of 2005, final phase of the project "SIM Application Toolkit" for the first and only one Iranian GSM card OS, was finished and delivered to its domestic customer (ITC) ok. This project had been signed by the KASRA's founder prior to its foundation.
 

In Feb. 2005, "Kasra-TPM" project as the KASRA's first R&D project has been started, and it is in progress now. Its idea has been presented in eSmart'05 conference in September 2005 in NICE-Antipolis,France. In summer 2005, Campus card network solution, was proposed for the first time to university of Tehran (Iranian largest Governmental University) and after approval its first executive phase ran on Dec 2005.
